We were on our way to an engagement party when our youngest started a conversation that ended in her giving her heart to Jesus when she was about 5 or 6. Such a special moment. Nothing pre organised, just a natural conversation that resulted in a fabulous outcome. It can also intimidating though if you haven't thought through beforehand about how to actually pray the salvation prayer with your child in words they understand. The bible is clear that parents are responsible for their kids spiritual nurturing and it should be each parent's number one priority. Duet 10 v18-19..."Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up."
Although we give the chance for kids to respond to Jesus at in church, you have more chances than we do! Check out the attached link for some tips on how to lead your child to Christ.
P.S. We love to hear about these faith decisions by your kids! Be sure to let us know when they happen so we can celebrate with them!
