I'm amazed at how quickly time flies. My oldest has just started year 11. Less than 2 years left at school. WOW! But what really amazes me is how much he still needs his mum. Sure, the ways he needs me have changed but the need is still there. I am more and more aware of how important it is for me to stay connected with him as he will start needing me less and less in the practical sense. That's why this article caught my attention. I was curious to know if I am on the right track. The check-list is really interesting. As a Christian parent I found the first one really fascinating because the word blessing is used. I agree with her sentiment... but add some time in prayer and it is GOLD! Praying a blessing over the day in the hearing of your kids... so special!
