Something funny happened at our house the other day which for the life of me I now have no idea what it was (does that happen to you too?). Regardless, I made a joke about it and used the word 'rapture'. I guess something went missing? Someone? Whatever it was that happened, Joey had no idea why I was laughing at my own joke. "What does rapture mean?" he asked me. I explained it's biblical meaning but it led me to wonder what other words or stories in the Bible he doesn't 'get'. We refer to Bible stories and verses regularly in our home but that alone doesn't mean my kids have a full grasp of everything. Sometimes we can be surprised at how even the basics can be missed. For example... the fact that the entire Bible points us to Jesus. Even the old testament! Recently I saved this video link below onto my computer to check out 'later' and I'm so glad I did. I will be showing it to my kids - even though they are almost 16 and 14 - because it is brilliant. And you know what - it didn't hurt for me to watch it too. Every extra bit of insight I get I can pass onto my kids!
Disclaimer: I always ask my kids permission to share their personal stuff with you. Be assured - this post is approved!
